Find Your Dream Clients’ Struggles Without Communication

Sometimes, the best way to know what our customers want is to ask them. But there are a lot of shy people out there, too! Here are some tips to get those answers without asking.

It Won’t Hurt to Ask

Content for our website has been the subject of many blogs over the last few weeks and many of you have said, “I don’t have frequently asked questions.” The best way to know what your dream clients' struggles and desires are with your products or services is to simply ask them.

As a social media marketing coach, this is the first step in creating content, social media posts, advertising personsonas, and messaging to attract dream clients.

But I know a lot of you are shy and some don’t want to do it or you think everyone is a client.

If you do happen to be shy, social media is your friend! Not your enemy. Write out questions geared toward your product and services and ask them through social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn.

The most common to start with are:
1. What’s your struggle when it comes to [insert product or service].

For example, as a social media coach I’d ask, “What’s your struggle when it comes to social media marketing?”

2. What do you wish [insert job title or service] understood about you?

For example, I would ask, “What do you wish marketing consultants understood about you?”

3. Last question: “If you could wave a magic wand, what [product or service] would you buy if money was no object?”

Don’t skip asking on your Facebook personal profile, either!

Using Stories for Research

If you’re a fan of Instagram, the polls and question stickers are your best friend. Set up the questions above in your Stories.

I’d suggest only posting one question or poll a day until and making sure you check back to keep track of the answers from your audience.

Bonus Tip: Make sure your Instagram profile is connected to your Facebook profile so that the audience can see the questions and answers, as well.

Action Step: Formulate your questions and ask on social media posts and Stories.
